I love this place a very nice restaurant with good food.

Young lady taking orders can use customer service training. Having the ability to convey that ALL customers are VALUED is critical. Will be giving them a break for a while.

Ordered 6 spicy wings on a Sunday which happened to actually be 3 wings split into 6 pieces with a few peppers that tasted horrible, no seasoning, wasn't fresh I think they microwaved it from the night before (very misleading) so I reordered a pita and do you know they don't know the difference between a pita and a flour tortilla! I recommend that you walk in and order don't use any delivery service.

I like Cedar’s. I’ve been going here for years, like 10 years. I’m not feeling their new menu at all. Can I just have the regular falafel pita sandwich minus al the extra new ish. Can I have the old lentil soup? I ordered today the new falafel sandwich in a pita but that mango chutney , not feeling it at all and idk what else is in here but it’s kind of awful .. luckily they gave me extra pita so I just removed the falafel and veggies and poured the tahini and viola , those potatoes were another story. Inedible, hard, black, twice or thrice fried? No thank you

Best place to buy something when in a rush. Their customer service is quick, rates are reasonable, excellent vibes. Highly recommended

OMG! The food here is AWESOME! I visited this place only a couple of times about a decade or so ago, but I'll definitely be returning to Cedars for more! I've never had falafel in my life and it was really good! The crispy variety I had was just wonderful. The Chicken Shawarma was plentiful, fresh, and delicious. The Lamb Kefta reminded me of a hot link, only healthier! Owner Amer Abdullah has really gone out of his way to update the menu. Cedars has been a Hyde Park staple for decades. It really shines!

New menu and management in the last couple weeks. Raised prices and made food much lower quality. Not worth going anymore. Used to love this place but will not be going back.

Nice services nice people

They are introducing a "new" menu this week. When I sat down the water glasses were dirty, with water spots, and with what appeared to be food particles inside. I ordered the salmon salad which was basically bagged lettuce with a can of pink salmon dumped on top, with too many red onions and pieces of cucumber. Lousy. When I went to season my tasteless meal, the salt and pepper shakers had muck caked on them, and you could tell they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Yikes. I used to like this place in the past, but will not be returning any time soon. Many better choices in neighborhood.

Honestly one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago, get a traditional item or boldly try one of their more modern takes, they will nail it. Also, they have very good staff it’s a good place to hang out.

Very delicious Jerusalem bagel and soup. Casual atmosphere. Nice servers. Happy patrons with happy bellies. We look forward to coming back frequently. Favorite food in Hyde Park this far

To be completely honest I don’t live in Chicago really but the food looks absolutely delicious 😋 I would love to try them

Cedars is soo good! Their wraps are big and come with the best garlicky potatoes! Definitely worth it!

Love love love Cedars best place ever for good food

Last week was our first time we visited this place. But It is no doubt not the last. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the courteous service, with the excellent meal and booze and with the friendly charge. We will surely come back in a short time.

If you love Mediterranean food this is a great place to come for lunch or dinner. The food is fresh and well prepared. Great value. My most recent visit I enjoyed the lentil soup with falafel, baba ganoush, hummus and pita bread. I was in heaven it tasted so good. It is a very popular place to dine and busy with customers.

My fiance, my daughter and I came here while on a small family vacation in Chicago. The restaurant was beautiful with really great service. I ordered the lamb in garlic yogurt sauce with rice and an order of falafel. It was my first time trying falafel and it was absolutely delicious! All of our food was amazing and our service was equally as great!

Cedars have a lower price lunch menu. It's eat in only. The portions are plentiful and again the food is always delicious.

Nice food, good presentation. However, they're short on menus and cutlery if you're coming with a big group. It's still nice to go to, though.

Even though our large party arrived late, they still accommodated us and served us. The food was good and didn't end up leaving until an hour past their closing time. Very reasonably priced.

The food is still tasty but the portion sizes have decreased 😞 the promemgrante beef short ribs are yummy
